Course Description

The Validation module is the capstone of the Execute milestone—the phase where all your planning, design, and preparation are put to the test. With 7 focused videos and 4 practical module assets, this stage ensures that your ERP implementation doesn’t just go live, but goes live with confidence, compliance, and control.

In Validation, you’ll learn how to migrate and reconcile data, test critical processes end-to-end, verify access security, tie out reporting, and execute a disciplined cutover plan that minimizes risk at go-live.

For transformation success, Validation represents the final line of defense: ensuring that systems are secure, reporting is reliable, and business continuity is safeguarded. This is where financial leaders can demonstrate that their ERP investment is ready for audit, ready for automation, and ready for growth.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the core components of an ERP data-migration validation approach and recognize controls used to support scope definition, field mapping, defect tracking, and formal business sign-off.

  2. Evaluate policy, procedure, and training artifacts by assessing completeness, accuracy, approval status, and readiness for go-live.

  3. Recognize access security control structures—including role design, segregation of duties, and approval workflows—and assess alignment with operational requirements and audit expectations.

  4. Evaluate ERP testing strategies by distinguishing between effective and ineffective unit and end-to-end testing approaches, including use of structured scripts, real-world scenarios, and report-to-general-ledger traceability.

  5. Identify key cutover readiness components and assess go-live preparedness by recognizing indicators related to go/no-go decisions, data freezes, staged loads, reconciliation tie-outs, and post-go-live stabilization (hypercare).
