ERP Mastery Program: Scalability
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Scalability module anchors the Optimize milestone with 12 focused videos and several optional hands-on homework assignments that let you apply the principles directly to your own data. This module goes beyond theory to show how ERP data structures drive reporting integrity, transaction efficiency, compliance readiness, and AI enablement.
By linking technical architecture to business outcomes, you’ll learn how to design clean master data structures, map core transactions like sales orders and procure-to-pay, set scalable reporting frameworks, and embed controls that support both compliance and AI-driven automation.
Designed for business professionals, this module equips you to lead ERP conversations with confidence, safeguard future automation opportunities, and ensure your ERP investment delivers long-term value.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify the role of data scalability in supporting ERP readiness, AI enablement, and compliance requirements.
- Identify the five core pillars of ERP data architecture—master data, transaction data, third-party data, system tables, and data conversion—and recognize their purpose within an ERP environment.
- Evaluate key master data domains, including chart of accounts, customer, supplier, item, employee, and subsidiary, by assessing scalability, governance structure, and associated risk.
- Recognize common risks associated with poor transaction data design and differentiate between effective and ineffective data structures for sales orders, purchase orders, and journal entries.
- Evaluate integration, mapping table, and data conversion approaches by distinguishing between practices that support auditability and scalable growth versus those that introduce operational and compliance risk.
- Assess data governance practices—including access controls, ownership, and approval workflows—by identifying conditions that increase or reduce the risk of fraud, duplication, and data inconsistency.
- Identify key scalability preparation principles and recognize how they contribute to successful ERP implementation outcomes.
